Girl Scouts of Northwest Mississippi will merge into Girl Scouts Heart of the South effective 12:01am on June 1, 2008. The council board of directors voted to approve the merger at their Annual Meeting held on April 29th.

The Girl Scout Council of Northwest Mississippi will join the Girl Scout Council of the Mid-South, Girl Scouts of Northeast Mississippi Council and Girl Scouts of Reelfoot Council in this historic collaboration.
